Members of the PDP
They also decried the failure of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to increase their units to reflect the statutory provision of 500 voters per unit.

The party members in the communities which comprised Bolou – Tubegbe, Tamo – Tubegbe and Toru -Tubegbe in ward 3 of the council area lamented the failure of the state PDP to recognize their voting strength and participation in elections in connection with allocation of rewards from the party.

Speaking with newsmen, a chieftain of the party in the ward, Prince Eyeasuoemi Atoukudu, said the federated communities “are strongholds of the PDP with two polling units 15 and 16 with a total of 3300 registered voters.”

He listed their grievances to include the “failure of the state government to recognize their voting strength and participation in previous elections in connection with infrastructure and political appointments viewing us as having only two polling units without considering our voting strength that is up to six units by INEC standard.” He called on Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa-led PDP in the state and the LGA to take cognizance of their voting strength and accord them what is due them in the political scheme of things.
