Kaduna Election: APC Speaks Ahead Of Final Announcement By INEC

Donie - 03:17pm

The Kaduna State All Progressives Congress Campaign Council has expressed appreciation to the people of the state for the peaceful conduct of the Governorship and House of Assembly elections in the state.

This was contained in a statement signed by Mr. Samuel Aruwan, Director, Media and Publicity of the council, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kaduna on Sunday.

The council said that the people have spoken at their respective polling units and all that is awaited is the formal announcement by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)

It, however, called for caution on the part of the major opposition in the state, the Peoples Democratic Party, alleging that the party has been making reckless claims and slandering the APC, its candidates and leaders on the social media.

It declared that the APC respect the sanctity of the electoral process and does not engage in the subversion and manipulation of rules and regulations guiding the process.

“Their failed strategy to create doubts at the national level about the results of the Presidential election is being attempted at the state level. Just as it failed on February 23, it has failed again,’’ it said.

The campaign council also appealed to residents to continue to be calm while awaiting the formal announcement of results by INEC.
