Fatai Mogaji has been arrested for allegedly killing his ex-girlfriend, Opeyemi, in Lagos. Mogaji had been on the run after reportedly stabbing Opeyemi multiple times.
According to Opeyemi’s sister, the two reunited on July 10, 2024, at a club in the Ikorodu area of Lagos.
They left the club together, and around 5 a.m., they had an argument during which Mogaji allegedly stabbed Opeyemi 22 times.
Opeyemi’s sister announced that Mogaji was caught at F1 Bar in Ikorodu by Opeyemi’s friends and others who knew her.
He has since been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) in Panti, Yaba.
She wrote,
“Good evening friends, my sister’s killer, Fatai Mogaji Abdulsalam, was caught last night at F1 Bar Ikorodu by well-wishers and Ope’s friends. He has been moved to Panti Police Station.”
