King Mitchy Apologizes Following Beef with VeryDarkMan and Controversial Video

Social media personality King Michy has issued a public apology following backlash over a viral live video in which she admitted to taking a substance while on camera.

The controversy began shortly after King Michy called out activist VeryDarkMan over allegations that he was withholding donated funds meant for his NGO, urging him to begin work with the money.

Following criticism from social media users, King Michy released a video statement admitting that her actions were wrong and stating that she had taken time to reflect on her behavior.

According to her, she understands the responsibility that comes with having young followers who look up to her and acknowledged that she disappointed many people.

King Michy also used the opportunity to apologize publicly to Seyi Tinubu. She explained that although she had previously apologized to him privately, she felt it was important to do so publicly since the incident occurred in the public eye.

She further extended an apology to the Oni of Ife for mentioning his name during the controversy, expressing regret for dragging him into the situation.

In addition, she apologized to activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, stating that she now understands his advocacy and recognizes that he is fighting for the improvement of Nigeria.

In her words, she said she is ready to be held accountable for her actions and admitted that appearing on a live video while taking a substance was wrong, especially considering the young people who look up to her.

King Michy concluded by saying she now understands that VeryDarkMan’s activism is aimed at making Nigeria a better place and that such efforts need support rather than conflict.
