A Nigerian woman who claims to be the ex-girlfriend of popular musician Segun Johnson has stirred reactions online after recounting how her 13-year relationship ended shortly after she relocated from the UK to Nigeria.
In a viral video shared on TikTok, she explained that they had been together for years before reconnecting in the UK, where the entertainer allegedly persuaded her to return to Nigeria, saying she needed to be part of his life following his success.
“He told me to come back immediately. I even left my new job in the UK because I believed he wanted us to settle down,” she said.
After arriving in Lagos, she said he picked her up and took her to his home, which did not raise any concerns at the time.
However, things reportedly changed shortly after his birthday when the musician travelled back to the UK, leaving her behind. Upon his return, she became suspicious after noticing a gift he could not clearly explain.
Out of curiosity, she checked his phone and discovered messages indicating that another woman had bought the gift.
According to her, the same woman had been involved with him since the previous year and had even called him while she was staying in his house.
“I told him I knew about the other woman and that he left me in Nigeria to meet her in London. After one hour, he sent me a breakup voice note,” she added.
Her account has since generated widespread reactions online, with many users expressing shock and disbelief over the claims.
One user wrote, “13 years?? That’s not heartbreak, that’s emotional damage. I hope you heal.” Another added, “So you left your job for man who’s busy with his job… If this is true, Segun Johnson is heartless.”
