A young woman has stirred reactions online after sharing a puzzling experience—discovering she is seven weeks pregnant despite not being intimate with anyone since ending her relationship with her boyfriend.
Choosing to stay anonymous, her story was shared on Facebook by Auntie Momoza, drawing mixed responses from social media users.
According to the post, she said the last time she was intimate was in June of the previous year. When she began feeling unwell in early February, she initially brushed it off.
However, as her symptoms became more severe earlier this month, she decided to seek medical attention.
During the visit, a doctor reportedly informed her that she was already seven weeks pregnant.
Trying to make sense of the situation, she counted back to estimate when conception could have happened. This led her to recall a weekend at camp spent with about 23 friends, both male and female.
She mentioned that she drank heavily during that weekend but maintained that she would have been aware if anything intimate had occurred.
Confused about how the pregnancy happened, she turned to social media for advice, questioning whether something might have been done without her knowledge.
In her words:
“Please keep me anonymous. Is it possible to fall pregnant without engaging in intimacy? I last had in June last year. Since I broke up with my boyfriend, I have been single and have never slept with anyone. I’ve been feeling sick since early February, but I ignored it. Earlier this month, it got worse, and I decided to see a doctor. When I got there, the doctor told me I’m seven weeks pregnant. I thought it was a prank until he showed me. I was shocked because I know 100% that I have not engaged in any intercourse.
I counted the days back to the likely time of conception. We were at camp that weekend—a group of about 23 friends, both genders. I was very drunk, but if I did something, I would have remembered. I would have felt it when I sobered up. Do you think someone did something without me being aware? If yes, how do I approach it? Do I go around asking all the guys who were there? What if all of them say they did nothing? I’m 27.”
